Katriona is a London-based illustrator. She uses both traditional media and digital techniques, but especially loves drawing in pencil. Most of her work is inspired in some way by the natural world. Clients include Oxford University Press, Floris Books, HarperCollins and Hinkler Books.

In 2006 Katriona won first prize in the Derwent pencil company’s international ‘Draw a Fairytale’ competition. She won a weekend in Copenhagen where she visited the Hans Christian Andersen museum, and feasted on lots of delicious fish.

She has exhibited as part of the Association of Illustrators Images 32 exhibition, the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art, and in group exhibitions at the Shunt Vaults and Hackney Downs Studios.

In her spare time Katriona also publishes her own illustrated small-press books, under the name of ‘Tomatito Press.’ She specialises in handmade editions that she binds herself, and her books have been stocked in many independent book shops around the UK including Bookartbookshop, John Sandoe Books and Gosh Comics.
